Oar the Rainbow is a team of people who believe in doing hard things in pursuit of our most fulfilled lives. We see the Pacific Challenge as an exciting opportunity to push the limits of our endurance and find strength not only in ourselves, but in each other. Each drawn to water and sport in our own ways, we know there’s nothing we can’t do together when we put inclusion, joy, and kindness at the heart of our team. Our team believes representation in sports matters, and we are proud to embody this belief by supporting the first out transgender rower to cross the Pacific.
Oar the Rainbow is proud to be rowing in support of two remarkable nonprofits – Doctors Without Borders and Athlete Ally. Doctors Without Borders is an independent nonprofit providing global medical humanitarian assistance to those in need, while Athlete Ally is dedicated to activating athletic communities to eliminate homophobia and transphobia in sport. Together our team envisions a world of diverse, flourishing communities where each individual is valued, included, and empowered to thrive as their authentic selves and we believe the work these organizations do support that vision.

Courser Racing is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization dedicated to empowering Special Operations Veterans through ocean rowing expeditions, creating lasting change in their lives and the communities they serve. We provide a transformative platform that offers veterans a new sense of purpose and direction during their transition to civilian life. Through rigorous training, partnering with charities, acquiring maritime skills, and impactful community outreach, we unlock their full potential beyond their military service. With unwavering support and comprehensive assistance, we ensure veterans have the resources and connections they need to succeed. Together, we make a profound impact, driving positive change and empowering veterans to thrive in their next chapter.
All additional donations that exceed our race and startup expenses will go to National Children’s Alliance. This organization is making our Nation great by helping children in need, especially those from underprivileged circumstances.

Moana Dogs are a team of currently serving or ex-serving Kiwi Firefighters. We are used to pushing our limits whether on the job or during our own demanding personal adventures. We realise this will take things to the extreme and be the ultimate test of self and soul, and welcome every challenge that comes our way.
The Child Cancer Foundation is one that has made a difference to a number of us on the team personally and do such an incredible job to the little heroes and their families. We have a long standing relationship with them through the Fire Service and we cant wait to be able to further provide help to this incredible organization in any way we can going forward.
